Abstract

Despite substantial educational gains in South Africa since 1994, many children still face marginalization, hindering their access to quality education. Various intrinsic, pedagogic, systemic, and societal barriers contribute to their vulnerability and exclusion. This chapter aims to enhance existing literature by introducing Teaching for All strategies, emphasizing the need for inclusive education in South Africa. Teaching for All recognizes diverse learning styles, urging teachers to develop adaptable skills. Education white paper six advocates for inclusive teaching methodologies, highlighting the transformative role teachers can play in making the education system inclusive. This necessitates challenging the status quo, eliminating curriculum barriers, and presenting educational goals in engaging ways. The researcher utilized desktop research, a method involving the retrieval and reanalysis of pre-existing information from sources such as libraries and the internet.
