Abstract

Climate change is an urgent threat that leads to global environmental, social, and economic impacts. In this context, the logistics sector has significant potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, use resources more efficiently, and play an effective role in combating climate change. The aim of this study is to examine the role of climate action in logistics and emphasize the importance of this area in addressing climate change. This study analyzes the significant interactions of the logistics sector with climate change based on a literature review and existing data. These interactions include transportation management, storage and inventory optimization, sustainable supply chain practices, and strategies for reducing carbon footprints. Additionally, the adoption of green logistics practices is highlighted for its environmental and economic benefits. In conclusion, this study provides a framework for understanding and evaluating the role of the logistics sector in combating climate change.
