Abstract
This chapter explores the critical role of logistics in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, which focuses on making cities and communities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. By emphasizing green logistics, the chapter addresses the integration of environmentally friendly practices across supply chain operations. With the rapid growth of e-commerce and the increasing importance of express delivery sectors, particularly in China, the need for sustainable logistics solutions has become paramount. The chapter delves into the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing green supply chain management (GSCM), highlighting the importance of overcoming technological and informational barriers to achieve low-carbon and efficient logistics networks. By examining the evolution of green logistics, the chapter underscores the significance of sustainable production practices and the role of government policies and business strategies in promoting environmentally conscious logistics.
