Abstract
The learning curve has proven to be a useful tool for monitoring the performance of both new and experienced employees. For an analysis of the relationship between knowledge management and the reduction of the learning curve, this article presents a study conducted within an IT company in the city of Florianópolis. A questionnaire was administered to 70% of the employees, and their responses were analyzed. The study concluded that the research identified the key knowledge management tools that can impact the improvement of the learning curve. For questions that did not receive more than 50% positive responses, the application of knowledge management methods and techniques was carried out. As the techniques are implemented and refined by the company, the reduction of the learning curve is likely to happen in a natural and progressive manner.
