Abstract
This chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of the impact of family dynamics on children's educational experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic's effect on education, necessitating a shift to remote, virtual, and hybrid learning models, underscored the importance of family support in maintaining continuity in children's education. The chapter delves into factors that shape family dynamics, such as socioeconomic status, family composition, and the educational background of parents or caregivers. These elements not only affect the level and quality of parent-child interaction but also contribute to educational challenges, disparities, and learning gaps, which were further magnified during the pandemic. The narrative further explores the diverse experiences and challenges faced by families of students with special needs. By examining the interplay of these dynamics, the chapter aims to offer insights into the complex relationship between family support and educational success, providing a nuanced understanding of the diverse family experiences during a global crisis.
