Abstract
Industrial drones are UAVs built especially for industrial drives. Ancillary works in industries are easily deployed by these drones. Industry 5.0 and 5G when strategically used in smart drones brings about drastic benefits and optimizes the operational costs without additional financial requirements in industries. Some of the industrial sectors that regularly use drones include energy sector, oil and gas, construction, surveying and mapping. The specifications of industrial drones are generally higher than the drones used at consumer places. This chapter discusses the development of various industrial revolutions starting from Industry 1.0 up to industry 5.0. Specific focus is on Industry 5.0 and its potential capability to provide better human machine collaboration in fulfilling the customers demand. Industrial drones that have brought about a revolutionary change in industry to solve real world challenges is also dealt in detail. Initially, the scope and the latest technologies required are assessed. Later the challenges while adopting the new methodology is highlighted.
