Abstract
Corrosion (materials degradation) causes great loss of metal used in the chemical industry, construction, transportation, and society. Globally, the world is facing challenges due to limited inhibition efficiency. Corrosion inhibition is a function of chemical integrity in nanoparticles. Nano particles have large surface to volume ratio, unique physico - chemical properties and excellent surface stability in corrosive medium. Inhibition depends on surface active organic group, particle size, large surface area which may cause excellent barrier layer between metal, and corrosive medium. Larger binding compatibility has greater chemical stability. Present chapter messages various nanoparticles, compatible parameters and its recent research and developments in corrosion prevention technology.
