Abstract
This chapter analysed gender differences on stress and mental health among students of higher institutions. In this chapter, document analysis was used to gather secondary data. The search engines include Google, Google Scholar, Web of Science, Science Direct, Academic Search Elite/EBSCO, and JSTOR. In addition, the data was obtained via peer-reviewed articles in journals, conference papers, research reports, and dissertations and will be analysed according to themes. The findings may assist the universities in strengthening the counselling departments and to develop programs that consistently sensitize the students on the importance of self-care.
