Assessing the Impact of CSR on Corporate Development and Sustainability in the Context of Climate Change

Abstract

Climate change has now become a major concern for every economy, every sector, and every business. The responsibilities of firms have also increased, and corporations are major contributors in increasing carbon emissions, and other environmental degradation components are linked with corporations. CSR is the only solution to the problems related to climate change and other factors. Recently, development of corporations is totally dependent upon their active participation for the society. This chapter highlights the association between the climate and CSR practices and how these strategies are effective for overall efficiency of corporations. Review of literature has identified that CSR is the major component, and this chapter effectively sheds light on the major aspects and provides deeper understanding.
