Abstract

This case study is designed for an undergraduate introductory class in business analysis, aiming to equip students with evidence-based problem-solving skills through the examination of real-world data. The chapter takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach, integrating research, data analytics, ethical considerations, and business communication skills. These reflect the core elements of information search, statistical analysis, and ethical dilemma analysis. The study is multifaceted, including a literature review to frame the problem of housing affordability within Dubai's dynamic real estate market, data analysis for empirical insights, and ethical reflections for moral reasoning. Primarily intended for a business analytics course, the case study's versatility also allows integration into introductory management, econometrics, and similar courses. It enhances students' understanding of complex real-world issues and fosters a multidimensional approach to business education, preparing them to address global challenges with innovative solutions.
