This chapter provides an in-depth review of recent advancements and trends in antenna technology transforming modern wireless communication systems. The authors delve into vital technological innovations, including massive MIMO, beamforming, metamaterial antennas, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, shedding light on their functions, potential benefits, and implications.
