Abstract
In line with growing global awareness of sustainability issues, supply chain (SC) actors have begun to integrate sustainability practices into their activities, to create a more sustainable SC. However, this integration cannot be effective unless the various risks that could adversely affect the sustainability of the SC are managed. Indeed, managing these risks involves first identifying and classifying them, then assessing them, and subsequently suggesting the measures needed to mitigate them. To provide practitioners with a roadmap of supply chain sustainability risks (SCSRs), numerous articles have been published in the literature focusing on the identification, categorization, and assessment of SCSRs. This study carried out a systematic literature review, based on the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) flow diagram, to systematically analyze these articles. The review highlighted different areas in which SCSRs were identified, classified, and assessed. It also presented various SCSR evaluation frameworks developed in the literature. Finally, it underlined the importance of stakeholder involvement in dealing with SCSRs.
