Abstract

One of the principal objectives of this research is to study the impact of the COVID-19 turning point on online business academia within the digital economy. The investigation encompasses students, professors, and administration and delves into the environmental sustainability of online teaching, considering energy-savings measures. Additionally, the study aims to assess the transformation of daily communication, among teachers, teachers, and students, and within the student community in this new reality. Furthermore, a constructive exploration seeks to identify elements crucial for preservation, providing an overview of the evolution of the digital economy. Emphasis will be placed on delineating opportunities and challenges. To contextualize this exploration, it is imperative to comprehend the foundational aspect of the digital economy, a term that gained prominence among academics in the early 1990s. The primary research methodology employed in this research is the SWOT analysis, a framework that systematically evaluates strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
