Abstract
The transportation industry is undergoing a rapid transition from fossil fuels to green energies. The emerging concept of mobility includes vehicles that not only provide environmentally friendly transportation, but also serve as storage for excess energy from renewable sources. The e-mobility infrastructure is becoming more complicated, which increases the danger of security threats. A valuable target for cyberattacks, the grid is one of the most significant vital infrastructures. Data exchange between EVs and smart grids is technically necessary. Smart grids must overcome these significant obstacles in order to guarantee security and privacy for eMobile charging. Blockchain when integrated with smart grid, as a possible solution, can solve these problems with its inherent trust building technology and makes it possible for the smart grid to manage demand response and engage in effective and reliable energy trading. The aim of this chapter is to describe the potential privacy risks of an ongoing connection between electric vehicles (EVs) and the smart grid.
