Abstract
Stream biodiversity loss is a major environmental issue that directly affects the delicate ecological balance of these aquatic habitats. The stability and health of the surrounding environment are supported by the wide variety of plants, fish, and invertebrates that may be found in streams. These habitats are becoming less healthy largely because of human activity, which may lead to a decline in biodiversity and the extinction of many species. Understanding the origins, impacts, and challenges involved, as well as increasing awareness of the issue, are crucial goals for the preservation of stream ecosystems.
