Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of women's contribution and role in agriculture and ensuring food production and security in Australia and India, women's empowerment, and the challenges they face amidst the local and global agricultural development and climate change policies, role in value chains, from production to distribution and building resilience against supply chain disruptions. Literature review will explore the economic contribution of women in Australia and India in developing agriculture sector and food security. A case study example from Australia and India will be discussed, followed by opportunities and challenges women face in agricultural sector. Discussion will include managerial and policy recommendations, followed by conclusions.
