Abstract
Healthcare metaverses are acknowledged for their potential to revolutionize intelligent and personalized healthcare services. The incorporation of blockchain technology into the metaverse healthcare domain introduces an innovative pathway to enhance security, privacy, and interoperability within virtual healthcare settings. Despite the challenges such as integration complexities, scalability concerns, legal intricacies, user education, interoperability challenges, resource requirements, and institutional resistance, the potential advantages are substantial. The secure storage of medical records, decentralized data sharing, and the empowerment of patients through data ownership signify a healthcare environment within the metaverse that prioritizes individual privacy, fosters innovation, and encourages collaboration.
