A Bibliometric Analysis of Digital Business Strategy From 2004 to 2023

Abstract

The effective use of information technology has become an integral part of business strategy for organizations. Hence, this study aims to systematically examine the evolution of digital business strategy, which has gained importance since the 1990s and has been extensively addressed in both practical and academic literature. A search was conducted using the keywords “Digital Business Strategy” in the WoS and Scopus databases, encompassing conference papers, articles, book chapters, and books. It was determined that the highest number of publications was by the Association for Information Systems. This study aims to contribute to the literature and researchers planning to conduct research in this field by revealing the development and trends of academic literature on the concept of Digital Business Strategy. Upon reviewing the literature, several Systematic Literature Reviews were identified, but no bibliometric study was found. Therefore, it is anticipated that future bibliometric studies conducting comparative analyses in terms of various factors would contribute to the field.
