Abstract
Digital transformation is a continuous and dynamic process. Digital transformation is associated with business models, strategic orientations, and organisational values in different ways and stages. Digital transformation can be comprehensive and can affect business strategy; relationships between employees, customers, and suppliers; organisational structure; operational business processes and functions; business models; leadership style; and work culture. While companies provide automation and data exchange in production and service technologies through digitalization, they also benefit from new technologies such as digital applications, big data, cloud computing, etc. Businesses can realise digital transformation quickly or more slowly and gradually. In this chapter, topics such as restructuring of business processes with digitalization, automation technologies, large-scale analysis, artificial intelligence, and machine learning are mentioned. Additionally, digital leadership, data security, and application examples are discussed.
