Abstract
The hospitality industry faces pressing sustainability challenges, from energy consumption to waste generation. This chapter explores the transformative potential of AI and technology-driven solutions for addressing these challenges. Key areas of focus include energy-efficient designs, waste minimization strategies, and eco-friendly transportation options. Through case studies and best practices, the authors examine how hospitality businesses are leveraging AI to optimize operations and enhance sustainability performance. Despite notable progress, challenges such as cost constraints and technological limitations persist. Future research directions propose innovative approaches to overcome these barriers, including cost-effective solutions, technological innovation, consumer education, and policy support.
