Abstract
This chapter examines an innovative strategy for attaining environmental sustainability in manufacturing, particularly emphasizing the idea of a “green factory” and its component “green unit processes.” Innovative approaches to industrial production are essential when environmental degradation and resource depletion are causing growing worry. This chapter explores a cooperative process that brings together a range of stakeholders in pursuing sustainable manufacturing practices, including manufacturers, academics, policymakers, and local communities.
