Abstract
In the ever-evolving landscape of assistive technologies, the visually impaired community encounters unique challenges in pursuing heightened mobility and environmental awareness. The endeavor to navigate through perpetually shifting and often unpredictable surroundings necessitates innovative solutions that empower individuals with visual impairments, granting them the ability to traverse with newfound confidence and independence. This research aims to explore the groundbreaking realm of the smart walking stick, an ingeniously designed assistive device that seamlessly integrates cutting-edge technologies, notably Arduino and ultrasonic sensors. At its essence, the main objective of this design is to respond to the urgent and compelling need for advanced navigation tools that can offer real-time obstacle detection and deliver tactile feedback, thereby enhancing the overall mobility experience for individuals with visual impairments.
