Abstract
Deepfake technology has the potential to disrupt the financial sector, posing special risks and difficulties for a sector that is dependent on authenticity and confidence. This case study investigates prominent instances of deepfake usage in the financial sector and looks at the complex dynamics that surround detection efforts. This study highlights the weaknesses in financial transactions, market manipulation, and corporate communications by carefully examining actual events as well as theoretical possibilities. It also looks into how deepfake detection systems are developing and how difficult it may be to distinguish between real and fake content in financial settings. The goal of this research is to provide financial institutions with practical techniques for reducing the risks posed by deepfake technology and preserving the integrity of financial systems by combining ideas from industry professionals, regulatory agencies, and academic research.
