Abstract
In this research, the authors introduce a novel wearable flexible square slotted antenna, enhanced by utilizing a unique substrate made from jeans material. The antenna operates at a resonant frequency of 5.29 GHz, making it suitable for various applications including satellite broadcasting, weather information systems, radar communication, and military operations. The designed antenna achieves a high directivity of 3.28 dBi at 5.29 GHz. A simple and concise comparison of simulated results with the measurement has been performed to verify the proposed antenna performance. The bandwidth of the textile antenna is 88.50%, which is highly noticeable as well. Here the polar plots of directivity patterns at phi=90° and phi=0° show that it always gives a good performance. Biomimetic antenna designs like the one reported here can bring with them significant potential for bio-electronic integration, delivering a life-like quality in flexible and high-performance wearable technology.
