Abstract
The landscape of education has witnessed a transformative shift with the emergence and proliferation of shadow education, commonly known as private tutoring or coaching. This chapter aims to explore and shed light on the importance of shadow education in preparing students for competitive exams. As the demand for success in competitive examinations continues to rise globally, the role of shadow education has become increasingly pivotal in shaping academic outcomes. The burgeoning landscape of competitive exams has led to a parallel rise in the prevalence of shadow education, a term encompassing various forms of supplementary learning outside the formal education system. This research delves into the multifaceted importance of shadow education in the context of competitive exams, shedding light on its impact on academic performance, psychological aspects, and the broader educational ecosystem.
