Abstract
Amid the progress of the technoscientific revolution, which fundamentally alters nearly every sphere of people's existence, the idea of cyborg employees, people with artificial parts in their bodies, is no longer the stuff of fiction. This chapter is dedicated to the analysis of the relatively new philosophical movement called transhumanism and its possible manifestations in the contemporary work context. It may be important for cyborg employees to work in risky and exclusive areas of practice, and they include areas related to health, protection, and astronomy, among others. It concerns problems associated with privacy, security concerns, and the possibilities of losing the base of economically disadvantaged people. There is also evaluation of effects on the psychological aspects of the employees like their identity and self-pertaining view in addition to the social ramifications of implementing these types of technologies.
