Abstract
Agriculture and traditional science education intersect in agriscience courses at high schools across the state and nation in widely varied applications. Despite the introduction of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in 2012, practicing agriculture, food, and natural resource (AFNR) teachers and teacher educators are still learning how to implement NGSS alongside their career pathway and cluster standards in a way that is interdisciplinary. This chapter reviews literature addressing the integration of NGSS and AFNR as a mechanism for enhancing agriscience education.
