Abstract

The organizations in Malaysia are changing and planning their size, function, and operation to meet the demands of a new service economy as a result of the country's current economic boom. The research on managing and leading various employee groups in Malaysia, however, does not consider market expansion and environmental change. New policies are frequently developed to address current requirements, but most of the references are from earlier research done in the 1990s and the early 21st century. Universities and other higher education institutions (HEIs) were not exceptional. Therefore, this chapter aims to discuss the management and leadership styles as an academician in higher education institutions (HEI) in Malaysia and their plan to face global economic fluctuation especially for the financial arrangement and many more.
