Abstract
This chapter aims to review the justification for the necessity and incorporation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in the corporate governance system to enhance sustainable ecosystem practices. Sun's article starts by explaining the notation of the ESG criteria and their relation to sustainable business, stressing their applicability to the companies' environmental hazards and general endurance. Several frameworks and models for implementing the ESG principles into organizations' strategies are discussed, which include the Strat Pad and In It for Life strategies adopted by Unilever and Danone, respectively, as well as examples of regenerative agriculture and circular economy practices.
