Abstract
This chapter examines leadership's role in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) within Sino-foreign universities, focusing on overcoming linguistic and cultural challenges through adaptable, culturally sensitive leadership. It highlights the shift from traditional to contemporary leadership theories and the importance of innovation and inclusivity in response to challenges like online learning transitions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, it explores transformational and transactional leadership models, emphasizing cultural sensitivity in merging Eastern and Western educational practices. The chapter suggests future research directions for enhancing leadership effectiveness in EAP contexts, aiming to improve student engagement and success in the complex landscape of Sino-foreign higher education.
