Abstract
The sustainable development goals (SDGs) are a collection of targets that nations must work towards accomplishing by 2030, as mandated by this worldwide action. Tourism, closely tied to the natural, social environment, and economy, contributes significantly to sustainability. As tourism is the world's fastest-growing industry, linking tourism and the SDGs is crucial. Although research on SDGs and tourism has increased, the knowledge level of university students still needs to be adequately addressed. This study aims to assess the level of SDGs knowledge among university students studying in tourism departments. Descriptive and causal-comparative research designs were used. Descriptive statistics were used to determine how familiar the participants were with relevant concepts. The current chapter also provides practical and theoretical implications for tourism educators and researchers.
