Abstract
Augmented reality (AR), computer vision (CV), and deep learning (DL) techniques enable a machine or application to enhance the e-commerce sectors. An integrated approach of AR and CV maximizes the visual information and interaction of the product in the digital environment. This chapter explores the synergistic effect that exists between AR and CV in the e-commerce sector, analyzing the applications and user experiences. It captures how these technologies revolutionize the interaction of consumers with products and an online shopping experience, giving them personalized online journeys, product recommendation, virtual-try-on, try-before-buy, and image-based product search. Furthermore, the chapter highlights that deep learning (DL) techniques such as CNN, GNN, and RNN revolutionized the e-commerce sector when integrated with AR and CV.
