Abstract

Modern India is transforming rapidly with the advent of advanced technologies and the automation of all processes. This transformation is beneficial for all business sectors including the healthcare industry. The Indian healthcare sector is one of the largest service sectors and it is expanding quickly. Organizations are using modern devices and offering quality service to patients. But these organizations are facing cybersecurity issues and storing patients' confidential information is a big challenge for all healthcare service providers. The threat from hackers and cyber thugs, who can steal and further exploit or sell the personal data of patients poses a big risk for all healthcare service providers and patients. This chapter focuses on various cybersecurity problems faced by healthcare organizations and various ways to deal with them.
