Abstract

This chapter explores how university-based innovation centres enable student entrepreneurs to take their ideas from conception to effective implementation. Examining the idea of student entrepreneurship in higher education lays the groundwork, highlighting the value of developing entrepreneurial abilities and institutions' crucial role in this process. The story proceeds with a thorough examination of the diverse assistance offered by innovation centres, which serve as launchpads for student-run businesses. The facilities, financing options, networking events, and mentoring programmes that are critical to concept refinement and skill development for entrepreneurial success are discussed. The chapter offers fascinating success stories and case studies of students who have prospered with the support of innovation centres, spanning many sectors and industries, emphasising the real-world applications of these support structures.
