Upshot of Gender Inequalities Towards Labor Markets

Abstract

Globalization has accelerated the pace of innovation and technology and has paved the way for new business across all countries. Gender (in)equality and empowerment of women is the most discussed and debated topic worldwide. To survive in a dynamic environment with enormous impediments in the form of societal, political, economic, legal, and technological environment is the biggest challenge. To prevail over this, there is an imperative need to discard old prejudices and accept innovative thinking and resolutions. The purpose of this chapter is to throw light on the subjugation of women across all sectors. The reports from various countries are scrutinized. The chapter studies the linkage of various aspects that hinder the progress of oneself and the economy at large and to put forward different techniques for inclusive growth of women with enhanced economic growth.
