Abstract
The following commentaries to the preceding article were solicited for the purpose of stimulating complementary or conflicting views of the conclusions to be drawn from the voluminous literature organized and presented by Andrews et al. Professors Perkins, Kent, and Wingate are among our most eminent scholars regarding notions raised by those authors. The perspectives conveyed by their remarks serve well to illustrate Sidman's (1960) "scientific truism that good data are notoriously fickle. They change their allegiance from theory to theory, and even maintain their importance in the presence of no theory at all."
