La création littéraire et artistique de Zeina Abirached, un espace de réflexion et de rencontres interculturelles

Abstract

Contemporary French-speaking literatures are enriched by creative voices whose dif-ferent forms of expression show the renewal and permeability of literary and artistic genres. In this theoretical context, we frame our proposal which entails the analyze of the themes outlined in Le Piano oriental (2015) by Zeina Abirached (Beyrouth, 1981), a Franco Lebanese artist, living in Paris since 2004. This graphic novel explores the experience of exile and intercultur-ality by means of autofiction. Zeina Abirached discovers and accepts the coexistence of two languages and two cultures as elements of her social identity and the hybridization of drawings and words as a mark of her artistic identity.
