Abstract
The Cahaya Ilmu Reading Corner is a reading corner in the classroom equipped with a collection of books that are arranged attractively to foster interest in reading. The Cahaya Ilmu Reading Corner is one way to increase people's interest in reading, especially for children in rural areas. The Cahaya Ilmu Reading Corner is a program to build an educational village from the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia as one of the applications of the Tri Dharma Perguguran Tinggi, namely community service. This activity method uses the active participation method with stages (1) Observation and Planning (2) Implementation (3) Evaluation and (4) Follow-up. The results of the observation show that education services in Cimulang Village are good, although they have not reached the optimal level. There is still a lack of public awareness of the importance and benefits of formal education. The Cahaya Ilmu Reading Corner aims to provide access to non-formal education as well as lifelong education and foster a culture of literacy for the people of Cimulang Village. In this program, the Pengmas Unusia team provides reading and writing training to the community, especially children, so that they can understand and present the results of their reading.
