Abstract
Over the past decades, client requirements have become increasingly more complex, and it has been a continuous challenge for companies to innovate and reconfigure their businesses. Companies should face the need for continuous technological progress, and the ones that could not adapt were forced to close. Still, it is well known that changes are the key to evolution and progress; therefore, the majority must embrace the new requirements of society. The paper is focused on transforming the traditional existing business processes by measuring, adding value, and improving the results with the help of Key performance indicators and the innovative approaches stated by the Quality 4.0 principles. This study aims to develop a simple and efficient methodology for companies that can be adopted in the process of changing to SMART companies, using the traditional approaches such as the 6 Sigma Methodology and PDCA cycle together with the new digital instruments, the key factor stated by the European Union and re-invent their processes.
