Abstract
Changes in working life with the innovations and developments brought by technology affect businesses closely. Today, businesses need to be able to integrate digitalization into their business processes to ensure sustainability in their activities. In this way, businesses that can realize digital transformation by using digital technologies together with the opportunities and developments offered by digitalization will ensure efficiency in their business processes and maintain their existence in the long term. From this point of view, today's businesses need leaders who can use and manage digital technology, are open to innovation and creativity, can provide change and therefore carry the business to the future. When we look at the studies on leadership in recent years, it is seen that there are many studies that examine digital leadership from a conceptual or theoretical perspective. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of digitalization brought about by global changes and developments from the perspective of leadership in the digital transformation journey of businesses and to make suggestions. In addition, the role of transformational leadership and digital leadership approaches, which are thought to be based on the theoretical basis of digital leadership, is to be examined with the resources in the relevant domestic and foreign literature and to provide a clear framework of digital leadership due to its increasing importance
