Abstract
One of the most common drug combinations used in clinical practice is the simultaneous administration of nonste-roidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). There is a fairly common belief that the automatic introduction of NSAIDs requires the use of PPI. Moreover, when thinking about gastroprotection, we do not remember about the potential interactions that may occur when administering PPI. The paper presents current infor-mation on the population of patients in whom PPI drugs should be used concomitantly with NSAIDs.
