Abstract
A simple experimental method for illustrating the principle of radiography has been developed by simulating radiation with visible monochromatic lights. In our new method, an liquid crystal display of a tablet computer was used as a light source for monochromatic lights, which worked as a substitute for an x-ray or neutron source. And a figure (pattern) printed, with a colour printer, on a transparent sheet for an overhead projector was used for the object. Therefore, the method is safe and inexpensive, and has the merit that the students, especially junior/senior high school students, can engage in exploring their experiments through trial and error by themselves.
