Abstract
Abstract
Due to the advantages of excellent output power, low cost and easily preparation, triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is developing rapidly in the field of renewable energy. The output performance of TENG is largely dependent on the surface charge density, which is closely related to the ability of the tribo-material to gain or lose electrons. To obtain higher output power, numerous efforts have been done on material modifications of the friction layer and electrodes of TENG with additional fillers or molecular modifications. In this review, advanced materials for the preparation of TENG devices to achieve high output, humidity-resisting and wear-resisting performance are presented and the working mechanisms of performance optimisation are discussed. Moreover, natural materials, recyclable materials and non-conventional electrode materials are mentioned to inspire subsequent research on TENG.
