Abstract
The fault occurring in power system is a very big threat to the industries and it adversely affects the industrial drives which in turn reduce the lifetime of the drives. There are many types of faults occurring in power system which affects the current, voltage, frequency and power fed to the industrial drives. In this paper, simulink model of a three phase supply is fetched and converted to variable AC through the converter circuit and fed as an input to the commonly used industrial motor drive is designed along with overcurrent current protection system. It also visualizes the fault occurrence parameters with the help of displays on the considered industrial drive and a method to prevent the damage of drive caused due to occurrence of fault.
