Local loading of sandwich panels - assessment according to standards and experimental verification

Abstract

Abstract The aim of the presented paper is to show possible approaches to the design and verification of the connection of elements to sandwich panels. Rivets or rivet nuts were used. Eurocodes STN EN 1991-1 and 1993-1-8 were used for numerical design. To verify the accuracy of numerical outputs, the samples were verified by a laboratory experiment, and the results were compared.
