Modeling of three-phase inverter power supply system in Simulink

Abstract

Abstract A model of a three-phase electronic converter of electric energy for an autonomous power supply system has been studied. The objective is measuring the percentage of the higher harmonics in the output of the three-phase inverter voltage and the effect of adding a passive selective Notch filters. Their inclusion in the output circuit creates a model of the system with improved electromagnetic compatibility, and hence an increased power factor and efficiency. A virtual architecture of the three-phase inverter power supply system has been developed in Matlab - Simulink software environment. The invertor is built of separate functional blocks simulating the components that can be embedded in a real project. The schematic diagram includes three-phase symmetric loads with three-phase filters models. The main operation modes of the invertor are modeled and the effects of adding three-phase filters to the output circuit after the voltage inverter are analyzed. From the pulse with modulation simulation, the frequency spectrum for the output current IL and voltage UL has been synthesized.
