Abstract
Abstract
This work is an attempt to assess the impact of tool vibrations during cutting on the stability of the cutting wedge. In this paper, a numerical experiment is conducted to model the wear process of a cutting wedge based on the use of the Volterra operator of the second kind. The article presents the results of modeling the Volterra operator for various variants of vibration cutting processes that differ from each other in the amount of energy of the observed vibration signal. The results of experiments showed that the stability of the cutting wedge decreases with increasing vibration energy of the tool. This is due to the fact that when the vibration dynamics of cutting increases, the actual path traversed by the tool during processing increases, which increases the total work performed when processing a given part.
