Abstract
A multilevel converter can be actualized in numerous distinctive ways for a rising number of output voltage levels, increasing levels have continuously been a major inspiration within the investigate of multilevel inverters (MLI) for the reduction of total harmonic distortion (THD) with a smaller number of power devices. This paper proposes a level doubling network (LDN) and utilizes this to nearly double the number of voltage levels of a multilevel inverter topology and addition of another LDN for the development of two more output voltage level. This network sustains the merit of even loading of the distinct cell for a symmetric MLI whereas the approach is appropriate to all the existing arrangements, the unit works best for cascaded H-bridge topology, Operation of the symmetrical and unsymmetrical MLI with LDN is verified by MATLAB simulation result.
