Abstract
A modification of the Podgórski limit state criterion is proposed in order to smoothen the plasticity surface allowing for application of the yield function in plastic evolution law. Convexity of the potential is discussed and calibration of five material parameters is carried out using common experimental tests, while two parameters remain arbitrary. Comparison of the model prediction with the available empirical data for concrete is presented and then recommendations are given in reference to the values of two arbitrary chosen parameters.
