Abstract
The effect of non-stoichiometric substitution of chromium ions on the conductivity of bismuth stannates was studied. The measurement of the current-voltage characteristic in the temperature range 300-800 K and electric fields from -800 to 800 V/cm was carried out. A change of the conductivity type from hopping to tunnel-emission in the structural phase transition region is established. The influence of the concentration of the substituting ion on the change of the conductivity type was determined.
